Abstract

727,992. Warp beams. ASHWORTH & CO., Ltd., T. June 22, 1953 [June 20, 1952], No. 15550/52. Class 142(2). A wooden warp beam is recessed at each end and fitted with a light alloy sleeve 3 to which the flange may be fitted. A locking pin 11 assists in securing the sleeve and a pike 7 to the beam barrel. The sleeve may overhang the barrel and a washer 19 may be welded to the sleeve so that a collar 9 welded to the pike 7 abuts the washer to reduce wear on the wooden barrel.
