700,986. Milkcoolers. NATIONAL RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION. Oct. 25, 1951 [Oct. 25, 1950], No. 25990/50. Class 84. [Also in Group III A milking apparatus includes an air-tight churn 11 having a milk inlet pipe 12 and an air outlet pipe 13 connected to the top and bottom' respectively of a tank 18 which is connected to a vacuum pump for effecting the milking operation by a pipe 21. The reduced pressure in the tank 18 draws in milk through the pipe 20 which then flows to the churn 11 and also reduces the pressure in the churn causing air to enter the chum through an air inlet pipe 14 which is connected to the atmosphere through a restricted orifice in an air inlet control device 15. Air from the pipe 14 bubbles up through the milk and thereby effects agitation to facilitate heating or cooling of the milk. Specification 14340/14, [Class 86], is referred to.
