504,225. Pasteurizing - apparatus. DANSKE MEJERIERS MASKINFABRIK A.M.B.A. April 27, 1938, No. 12598. Convention date, May 4, 1937. [Class 49] Pasteurizing-apparatus of the holding type has a plurality of pasteurizing vessels 5 which are supplied with the milk or other liquid to be. treated from a rotary distributing vessel 2 with an outlet valve 14 adapted to be stopped in succession opposite each of a series of funnels 3, one leading to each vessel 5, discharge being effected by a multiple way cock 7 connected directly to each vessel 5 by a pipe 6 extending thereinto from the top, and to a pump which draws off the pasteurized liquid, the cock 7 being disposed at a higher level than the vessels 5. As shown. the rotary plug 8 of cock 7 is coupled directly to the distributing vessel 2 both being driven by a shaft 13. The cock casing has inlets 9 and an outlet 11 for the pasteurized liquid. The plug 8 has a cavity 15 the upper end of which can be placed opposite each of the inlets q in succession, one of a series of openings 10 in the lower end being then in register with the outlet 11.
