[Class 127] [Also in Group I] Apparatus for clarifying sugar juices comprises a tank 4 to which the juice is supplied from a tank 1 which is constructed to maintain a constant level of liquid in the tank 4. The tank 1 is provided with an inlet 2 below which is a perforated baffle 7 and in the wall of the tank is an opening 5 situated at the level of the liquid 6 in the tank 4. A hood 9 directs the liquid entering the tank 1 away from the opening 5.
