Abstract
409,088. Filters. CREESE, C., The Retreat, Romiley, Cheshire. Jan. 14, 1933, No. 1339. [Class 46.] Siphoning apparatus for emptying vessels, for example for transferring beer from one fermenting vat to another, comprises a dished plate or body b which has slots c at the periphery or perforations and forms with the bottom of the vessel d to be discharged a chamber which is connected by a pipe e with a siphon f. Filtering material such as gauze may be associated with the slots. Alternatively the plate may be formed of gauze.
