Abstract

403,460. Treatment of growing plants ; pots for plants. ROBERTS, J., 93, Princess Road, Edgbaston, Birmingham, and ROBERTS, M., 156, Anson Street, Monton, Manchester. July 14, 1932, No. 19894. [Class 6 (ii).] In a plant pot of the type having a perforated false bottom, a shallow water chamber below said bottom and an overflow aperture or apertures adjacent the top of said chamber, the perforated bottom d has an aperture g through which passes an air and water tube h standing loosely on the base of the pot, extending upwardly above the top of the pot and having perforations i above the false bottom d. The false bottom d has a series of peripheral recesses f and rests on an annular shoulder c situated on the wall of the pot immediately above the overflow apertures b. Water is introduced into the chamber j through the holes b or through the tube h which may be located adjacent the side wall of the pot.
