Abstract

213,368. Bailey, A. J. Jan. 26, 1923. Flowers and plants, pots and receptacles for growing. - A vase or similar ornamental vessel for the cultivation of bulbous and other plants in dwelling-houses is provided at the bottom with an internal water-reservoir b having holes e at the top to allow of the escape of the surplus water that collects in the reservoir before it rises high enough to reach the soil. The reservoir b is separated from the remainder a of the vase by a removable perforated partition c of flat, dome, or other shape resting on a ledge or on projections d. The holes e are inclined as shown and serve to admit air and to allow of the surplus water being tipped out as well as to prevent the water from rising too high. According to the Provisional Specification, the the partition e may be fixed to the walls of the vase. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 4398/88, 12057/96, 13219/02, and 2814/05.
