Abstract

659,846. Flower pots. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP NEDERLANDSCHE GLASFABRIEK LEERDAM, and SCHELLEVIS, A. April 8, 1949, No. 9623. [Class 6(ii)] Water troughs for flower pots are arranged so that there is access of air between the water and soil. The trough 2, Fig. 1, may be integral with the pot and communicate therewith through openings 5, 6 at different levels in the side of the pot, water being supplied to leave the opening 6 uncovered. A perforated inverted-U false base rests in the pot, the holes 4 being above the holes 6. The trough may be separate from the pot, a shoulder 11, Fig. 7, of which rests on the trough. The pot has a U-shaped base, with or without a central upwardly-extending inverted U, some of the holes in the base being above the water level in the trough.
