Abstract

Vessels containing sugar solution with which beer is to be mixed are of an inverted conical shape, the beer entering from below and mixing with the sugar solution therein.ALSO:In the process described in the parent Specification in which before a clarifying filtration, sugar is added to wholly or partly fermented beer in a closed fermenting vessel, yeast is also added. A second vessel may also be used after the clarifying filter, in which part of the sugar may be added. In this instance, part of the fermenting beer may be allowed to remain in the first vessel to provide the yeast addition. Pressure and temperature recorders may be fitted to the first vessel. The vessels are of an inverted conical shape, the beer entering from below and mixing with the sugar solution therein.
