Abstract

147,581. Vasseux, A. E. Jan. 19, 1918, [Convention date]. Manures.-In preparing bakers' yeast, peat is mixed with beet or cane molasses, or with juices of beet, apples, pears, or artichokes, either in the cold or while heated. An acid wort is filtered from the mixture and is fermented during aeration. The residual peat may be used as manure.
