Abstract

700,335. Stoppers. KIHM, G. A. Sept. 4, 1951, No. 20886/51. Class 125 (3). A container closure cap has a skirt 24 with a flange 25 to engage a head 27 on the container neck, a depressed central portion 21 and an annular portion 22 which rests on the upper face of the container mouth, the annulus 22 having grooves 28, 28a so that it may be torn away to separate the skirt and central portion 21 which may then be used as a cover for the container. The cap is of an inelastic plastic and is applied by heating to expand it and applying it to the neck where it contracts on cooling.
