698,849. Valves. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP HOLLANDSCHE KUNSTZIJDE INDUSTRIE. Nov. 22, 1951, No. 27435/51. Class 135 An obturator, particularly for corrosive liquids, has a valve seat 5 and valve body 4 both oblique to the axis of the valve housing inlet and outlet connections 1, 2, the valve plate 10 being carried inside a rubber membrane 6 while the spindle 12, which is perpendicular to the general direction of fluid flow, carries the plate movably attached at an angle at its lower end. The plate is carried loosely on a bolt 11 screwing into the spindle the lower end 13 of which is curved. The spindle, shown for manual operation by the screwed handle 15, may be connected to an air-operated piston, or operating air may be connected to the upper membrane space.
