698,757. Milling; making turbine nozzles. NAPIER & SON, Ltd., D. April 25, 1952 [April 30, 1951], No. 10071/51. Classes 83 (ii) and 83 (iii). [Also in Group XXVI] An annular turbine nozzle ring E is formed by slotting a solid ring at E<SP>2</SP>. The dividing walls between the passages are parallel-sided and may be formed by cutting the two faces of each dividing wall simultaneously by a pair of twin rotary cutters moving in a straight line, and then rotating the ring through an angle and cutting the two faces of the next dividing wall, during which operation the previously partially cut slot will be completed.
