610,791. Reamers; milling-cutters. HAHRRIS, W. A. April 16, 1946, No. 11729. [Class 83 (iii)] An end-cutting reamer or face milling-cutter d of annular form is secured upon a cylindrical extension c which is eccentric to the axis of rotation of an arbor a so that one tooth only of the reamer controls the size of the hole being reamed or the depth of cut. Interposed between the reamer and a flange b on the arbor is a collar e provided with a peg f to locate the reamer which has a concentric circle of holes g equal in number and in line with the teeth of the reamer. Screws h pass through arcuate slots in the flange to permit partial rotation of the collar and thereby effect adjustment of the diameter of cut by moving the most advanced cutting edge relative to the position of maximum eccentricity. Another tooth can be brought into the most advanced cutting position by engaging the pin in a different hole.
