698,724. Potato harvesters. KOLWEYH, J., and HOFFMANN, R. Feb. 29, 1952 [March 3, 1951; Aug. 17, 1951], No. 5347/52. Class 6(iii). [Also in Group XXX] In a potato harvester, comprising two swingable gratings 1, 2 suspended from the machine frame 4 by links 5, 6, the gratings are e pivotally connected by bolts 7 and are connected to a crank shaft 9. As shown the crank shaft is provided with a counterweight 10 and is connected to the grating 1 by members 8 rigidly attached to the grating 1. The gratings comprise rods formed with steps la, 2a the spacing of the rods increasing towards the longitudinal centre of each grating. The gratings are provided with side plates 12, 13. Alternatively the plates may be attached to the chassis so that the gratings move between them. The member 8 may be omitted and the crank shaft may be used in place of bolts 7 to hinge the gratings together. A delivery shoot 15 is provided and is attached to the frame by links 16 and is adjustably attached to links 6 by means of links 17.
