696,708. Electric convector heaters. ROBERTS, E. A., and TAYLOR, M. [Representatives of ROBERTS, H. A.]. March 27, 1952 [April 7, 1951], No. 8113/51. Class 39(iii) An electric convector heater for space heating comprises a plurality of upwardly directed tubes 1, e.g. of thin metal, the tubes being arranged in parallel rows and connected in series for passage of electric current therethrough to warm air passing up. the tubes due to convection. The tubes 1, which are of any convenient crosssection, have integral tabs 2, 3 which are connected, e.g. by welding to the tabs of an adjacent tube, the tubes 1 being arranged in a metal frame 8, having top and bottom an insulating grid, e.g. glass fabric sleeving, to space the tubes. The two ends tubes 1a of the bank of tubes are extended at 4 and connected by leads 5, 6 to the usual supply. Lateral eyes 12 on the frame 8 receive bolts 11 which support the tube bank on a frame 13 in a casing 14 having a grille 15 at its top.
