485,283. Unit air heaters. BENNETT, E. Sept. 6, 1937, No. 24274/36. [Class 137] [Also in Group XI] A unit air heater comprises an electrically driven fan b, an enclosing casing e, electric resistance heaters n each having at its rear a reflector q which besides radiating the heat also deflects the air current from the fan, and switch means whereby the heating elements can be switched on or off independently of the fan motor. The casing e may be of wire openwork with the heaters n arranged radially therein. Alternatively the casing may be in the form of a box with parallel heating elements arranged across an opening in its side.
