Abstract
485,104. Electric radiators. ELEXCEL, Ltd., and WICKERSON, S. A. Nov. 13, 1936, No. 31095. [Class 39 (iii)] In an electric radiator of the high temperature type enclosed in a sheet metal casing 10, the heating element is in the form of a rod 13 and is mounted close to the front panel 14 and substantially at the focus of a curved metal reflector 11 which is separated from the rear of the casing by a distance equal to substantially half the depth of the casing. The panel 14 is heat insulated from the rest of the casing by strips 16 and 17 of asbestos. The element 13 may comprise a number of units in the same axial line. The elements are rendered readily removable by supporting them between spring prong members which constitute the electrical connections. Brackets 33 for attachment to a wall or other support are provided on the casing.
