Abstract
694,974. Stencilling-apparatus. STEAD, McALPIN & CO., Ltd., and PERRIGO, A. E. B. Sept. 7, 1951 [Oct. 28, 1950], No. 26336/50. Class 100(ii) [Also in Group XXX] A means for facilitating moving a printing screen or the like over a table 2 comprises a screen 1 on a frame 3 on a support 4 having rollers 8 running on a rail along one side, and a pair of sleeves-10 movable over legs 11 having ground wheels 12 on the other side which also has counterweights 15 suspended from the screen. When moving the screen one side is raised by cams or any other suitable means between the rollers and the other side is raised by the counterweights enabling the operation to be effected by one operator. The counterweights may be replaced by springs extending from the bottom of the sleeve 10 to the. top of the leg 11. The counterbalancing device may be on both sides. Any other suitable means may be used for counterbalancing such as hydraulic means or compressed air or electric motor.
