Class 52(iii) '[Also in Group XXV] A table of the kind having hinged legs 7 folding under the top 4, shown in underside plan view, has the legs pivoted on screws 9 in J-shaped brackets 6 fixed to the corners of the top and secured in extended position by a spring-pressed rocking lever 10 released by a press-button 13 passing through the table frame 5. The locking piece comprises a lever in a recess of. the frame pivoted to the bracket 6 at 12 and bifurcated at one end to engage a neck on the press-button 13. A spring 16 presses the nose 10a of the lever through a slot 14 in the bracket 6 and against a plate 3 secured to the upper end of the leg 7 and having a slot 15 into which the nose engages when the leg is turned to the extended position locking it against movement until the button 13 is pressed.
