Abstract
619,385. Closet seats. KEEFER, W. H. Dec. 5, 1946, No. 36074. [Class 26] [Also in Group XVII] A child's toilet seat comprises two half sections 10, 11 hinged together by a hinge 15 secured thereto by screws 16 and provided with movable positioning legs 18 pivotally secured between brackets 19, 20 on either side of a narrow front gap 40. Arm rests 24 are supported in uprights 25, 26, hinged at 27, 28 to the sections 10, 11, and a back support 29 is hinged at 30 to one of the supports 25 and secured by a plate 29A and screw 30A to the other support 25. A rod or bar 31 provided with small blocks or counters 32 may be secured to the ends of the rests 24, and a movable cover hinged to one of the sections 10, 11 may be provided so that it covers the edges 33 of the sections above the hinge 15 when the seat is in use. Non-slip grummets 22 also are secured beneath the sections 10, 11. When not in use, the seat is folded up and carried in a canvas bag 36 provided with handles 37 and a zip fastener 38. A skirt 39 may be secured to the underside of the seat by snap buttons which fasten in buttons 23.
