Class 89 (i) [Also in Group XXIX] A lock-nut 6 for adjusting the minimum loading of a pressure relief valve has resilient jaws 6a, 6b which touch one another at their extremities in the unstressed condition but are spaced apart as shown when the nut is screwed on to a screw 5 which adjusts the valve loading spring 3. Nuts. The nut has a depending hook 7 which engages a flange 9 on the valve casing to limit the upward travel of the nut.
