In a valve as described in Specification 552,621, means are provided for adjusting the tension of the spring 24 associated with the second obturating member 22. As shown, rotation of a screw 29 produces axial movement of a nut 26 which is prevented from rotating by a pin 32 engaging a casing slot 33 and abuts the end of the spring.
