[Also in Group XXVIII] A pipe for a liquid supply system comprising inner and outer layers 1, 2 of polyvinyl chloride, rubber or synthetic rubber, polythene or other plastic material incorporates one or more electric conductors 10 in ribs 11 of the layer 2 and has an integral web 4 in which is an embedded steel suspension cable 9 or which has holes 5 for receiving hooks 6, or both. There may be a reinforcement 3 of wire braiding, metallic tape, helical wire, textile braiding or a helical textile layer. The cable and the metallic reinforcement may also be used as electric conductors.
