Abstract

A multi-layer insulating fabric consists of a fibre fleece of natural or synthetic material which has been consolidated without any change in volume and which does not weigh more than 200g. per square metre, which fleece is covered either on one face with a knitted fabric and on the other face with a woven fabric or on both faces with a knitted or woven fabric, which woven fabric is coated with a waterproof material, e.g. polyvinyl chloride or neoprene. Specified fleeces are of wool or polyester fibre. The fabrics may be of natural or synthetic fibres e.g. nylon.
