Abstract

1378010 Flame resistant laminate RHONEPOULENC TEXTILE 10 Jan 1972 [11 Jan 1971] 1074/72 Heading B5N A flame resistant laminate consists of an organic foam structure united on at least one face by needle-punching to a textile fabric which does not propagate flame. The foam may be polyurethane and the fabric may be woven, knitted or non-woven and comprise at least sufficient fibres based on p.v.c., chlorinated p.v.c., or a copolymer in which the major constituent is a chlorinated vinyl monomer to ensure that the fabric does not propagate flame. The fibres may be in the form of continuous filaments, short fibres, spun yarns or stiff filaments. The laminate can be used, fabric outermost, in furniture, tapestry, coachwork and clothing.
