Abstract
691,057. Folding and sliding doors. TEMPLEX HOLDINGS, Ltd. May 30, 1951 [March 3, 1950], No. 5451/50. Class 20(iii) A folding and sliding door comprises a series of vertical pillars P which are guided in upper and lower runners across the door entrance and support hinged pairs of folding panels L, each pair of pillars being interconnected by upper and lower pairs of operating links 2, 2<SP>1</SP> which are joined by a tie bar 3. The outer ends of the link arms 2, 2' are pivotally mounted to the respective pillar P, the inner .ends of each pair of arms being pivotally mounted to the respective ends of a tie bar 3 by means of a pin 34 and a distance piece 8. Lugs 14 fixed to the link arms 2, 2<SP>1</SP> and spring blades 15 fixed to the tie bar arms 3 prevent the links from assuming a straight line position. Specification 691,058 is referred to
