A foldable closure comprises a plurality of vertical elements 11 coupled along their vertical edges 20 by folding member 13, and a pantograph "lazy tongs" system 16, said vertical elements each having its own pivot 26 coupling said elements to and acting as a pivot e.g. 17 in the "tongs" systems. The pivots 26 are suspended from trolleys 25 running in a channel 24. In a modification the vertical elements may have their vertical edges hinged and/or the pivot 26 may be one of the edge pivots 18 in the tongs so that the parts 26 are all on one side of the pivots 17. The elements 11 and 13 may be plastic e.g. poly-vinyl-chloride.
