Abstract
745,305. Combined tables and seats. JONES, G. E. May 28, 1954 [June 30, 1953], No. 18046/53. Class 52(3). A combined table and seats comprising two shallow box-like sections 10, 10a hinged together to form a case when folded and a table when opened out and a pair of seats with tops 15, 15a and foldable legs 18, 18a connected by linkages to the ease has the seats articulated with the table through side links 14, 14a extending from points at or near the ends of the seats to pivotal anchorages disposed one at or near each corner of the table. At the pivoted lower ends of links 14, 14a are provided brackets 24 secured to the seats and having oppositely directed flanges 24a, 24b forming abutments to limit relative angular movement between link and seat top and metal struts 25 are pivotally anchored at 25a to the inside of the table top and are detachably connected to the links by a stud 25b adapted to snap into a corresponding hole in the link.
