Abstract

1362318 Folding chair ANONIMA CASTELLI SAS DI CESARE CASTELLI & C 22 Aug 1972 [14 Sept 1971] 39117/72 Heading A4J A folding chair comprises a back and seat forming, rigid or flexible, laminar, sheet material 1 releasably secured to the upper ends 18 of four L-shaped legs 2 pivotally interconnected at their inner ends 5 such that they may be folded from a position in which they form a cross and support the material 1 to a position in which they are arranged in side by side relationship. Folding of the legs is effected by forming the inner end 6 of each leg with recesses 9, 9a and flanges 8, 8a, recesses 9 in one leg accommodating flanges 8a on the adjacent leg, a pivot pin 10 being passed through the interlaced flanges of the legs which are adjacent when the legs are in side by side relationship so that when unfolded there is a pair of adjacent legs which have interlaced flanges not connected by a pivot pin 10 thereby enabling folding of the chair without removal of any parts of the pivotal inter-connection.
