690,349. Sewing-machines. GEGAUF AKT.- GES. BERNINA -NAHMASCHINENFABRIK, F. Jan. 2, 1951 [March 22, 1950], No. 144/51. Class 112. [Also in Group XVII] A movable storage container for sewing- machine accessories, bobbins, and spools is attached to the frame of a portable electric sewing-machine having a free work-supporting arm, the arrangement permitting the container to be stowed in a position longitudinally adjacent the arm. The container comprises a member 11 having cavities 12-16 for accessories and studs 18, 19 for spools and bobbins on its upper surface, trays 21 having divisions and pivoted to the member, and an eccentrically mounted roller 24 which supports the container in both the open and stowed positions. The container is removably pivoted on a pin 8 fixed to the motor housing 6. In the stowed position the container is parallel to the work-supporting arm 2 and does not project beyond the base 1 of the sewing-machine so that the machine and container may be housed in a case. In modifications the trays may be replaced by drawers and the container may be slidably mounted on the sewing-machine.
