671,297. Sewing-machine covers. ANKERWERKE AKT.-GES. Nov. 10, 1949. [Oct. 1, 1948] No. 28869/49. Class 52 (i). [Also in Group VII] A sewing-machine having a flat work bed 12 is mounted in a case, the arrangement permitting the sewing of flat work when the machine is seated in the base 1 of the case, and facilitating the sewing of tubular work when the machine is supported above the base on members 15. The machine is held in the raised position by a pivoted flap 14. In the lower position of the machine the flaps 2, 3, 13 serve to support the work. A U-shaped member 5, 6 having a handle 8 engages flaps 2, 3 and the base to enclose the machine.
