688,932. Induction pipes. DAIMLER-BENZ AKT.-GES. July 28, 1950 [July 29. 1949]; No. 18891/50. Class 7 (ii). In a diesel engined motor vehicle an air intake pipe for the engine extends to the front of the vehicle where it is fitted with a funnel shaped part presenting an intake opening disposed either, in a mudguard or in a panel between a mudguard and the radiator frame, the opening being preferably at a level between that of the front bumper and the head lamps. As shown the intake opening covered, by a grid 6 is disposed in a panel 4 between the mudguard I and the radiator frame 2 and at a level between that of the bumper 5 and the head lamps H. The opening is con-. nected to a filter 7 arranged on or above the diesel engine by the funnel-shaped part 9 and a duct 8, the parts 8, 9 being connected together by a rubber sleeve 10.
