Class 131 In a hair clipper, a moving cutter is reciprocated in its own plane relatively to a fixed cutter against which it is pressed by a pressure head under the spring pressure of stirrup or yoke springs embracing the pressure head and the, fixed cutter. As shown, pressure piece 4, under the influence of U-shape springs 5, 6, urges a movable cutter 3 against a fixed cutter 1, a locating pin 7, for the pressure piece, being provided and a guide piece 13, engaging grooves 11, 12 in the fixed and moving cutters respectively, allowing lateral displacement of the movable cutter. The pressure piece is preferably made of aluminium and has notches for lubricating wicks 16, 17.
