719,005. Hair clippers. PAOLI, M. DE. Oct. 3, 1952 [Oct. 17, 1951], No. 24818/52- Class 131 [Also in Group XXII] A hair clipper comprises an inner tubular comb member slidable within a fixed outer tubular comb member, the cutting. portions of the members being formed by two co-operating straight surfaces forming an acute angle and the fixed member having a non-cutting projection from its vertex edge portion. As shown, contact between the cutting teeth 9, 10 is limited by cranking the sides at 12, 13 and the teeth 9 each have a non-cutting projection 14. The inner member is operatively connected to a rocker 4 by a cushioning member 5 and urged into cutting co-operation by a spring 6, the members being ground or ground-in to ensure contact at the vertex portions. A suitable blank and steps in the bending of the blank to produce either an inner or an outer comb member are described.
