683,637. Doors. PERSSON, E. S. April 4, 1950 [April 5, 1949], No. 8467/50. Class 20(iii) A swing door frame which hold: a glass panel along three borders at least is bent a two corners with out substantia change of it: transverse section and at one of these at least is rigidly or removably connected with a hinge or pivot 8 or with self-closing members 7. The frame 3 may be U-shaped carrying the glass as a web between the horizontally extending legs of the U, the door being pivotally mounted from above and below on hinges at the rounded corners of the frame. A reinforcing member 21 to which the pivot pin or door operator may be connected may be arranged on the outer side of a rounded corner; in a modification a hinge is secured to the vertical edge of the member 21 and a door operator connected by levers to the bottom edge. The frame may be H-shaped in section with the outer channel receiving the reinforcing member and the inner a glass fillet having a channel into which the glass pane is fitted. Or in a modified section, Fig. 18, the inner channel 29 receives a U-shaped glass fillet 31 the shanks of which fit in grooves 32 milled into the pane 27. The frame and fillet may be striated.
