Abstract

682,395. Warp let-off motions for looms. DUXBURY, W., and DUXBURY, W. H. Oct. 11, 1950 [Oct. 12, 1949], No. 26157. Class 142(ii) A let-off motion comprises a lever A, pivoted at B to a bracket on the back rail of the loom, a hook F to which the chain round the ruffle of the warp beam is attached, a hand-wheel F<SP>1</SP> for adjusting the tension on the chain, and springs J interposed between the end of the lever remote from the pivot and a bracket K on the end-frame of the loom. The hook F passes through a slot in the lever A and a washer F<SP>2</SP> engages one of a number of grooves on the underside of the lever. A link L pivoted to the lever A passes through a slot in the bracket K, and a cotter M may be placed in one of a number of staggered slots in the link to maintain the lever in its correct position when the hand-wheel is slackenedoff to turn back the warp beam. The springs J are positioned on nipples A<SP>2</SP> and may be of different lengths or strengths, or both. Specification 600,866 is referred to.
