Class 126 [Also in Group XVII] A separator for the products of combustion from a gas-ring having sets of holes round both inner and outer sides of the burner tube comprises means for separating the products of combustion from the inner ring of holes and passing them clear of the products of combustion from the outer set of holes. As shown, the separator is formed as a pot support mounted above the gas ring of a cooker. The support comprises a baffle ring 10 of larger diameter than the gas ring 11 disposed above and separated from the gas ring 11. Four archshaped baffle walls 12 are supported on ring 10 within a counter-sunk portion of a cooker top-plate so that the upper edges of the walls 12 project above the top-plate and the diverging limbs of baffles 12 project beyond the ring 10. The inner burner holes 17 are located within the space bounded by the crests of arches 12 and the combustion products of these burners are led through the combustion products of the outer burner holes 16 by conduits 19 formed by the diverging limbs of the arches. The outer burner holes 16 lie within the spaces between the arch-shaped baffles 12 and the baffle ring 10. The limbs of the baffle walls 12 may terminate at ring 10, additional radial baffles being provided extending outwardly from the ring symmetrically with respect to the limbs of the baffle walls, or only one limb of the baffle walls may extend beyond ring 10.
