Abstract

<PICT:0678952/IV (c)/1> An apparatus for treating and finishing in a liquid bath, for example, boiling, sizing, bleaching, dyeing, washing, neutralizing and impregnating natural or artificial fibres, especially textile fibres in the state of flock combed, carded, drawn, woven or felted, in which the fibrous material is introduced together with the treating liquid into apparatus 1 which can be closed and which forms part of a completely closed circulating system operating under a static pressure, is characterized in that use is made of an expansion vessel 11, connected to the suction pipe of a pump in the circulating system, this vessel acting as an air chamber. The apparatus consists of a vessel 1, a circulating pump 3 and a tap 4 with four outlets. The tap 4 is connected to the apparatus 1 by conduits 5 and 6. Between the cock 4 and the pump 3 there is, at one side, placed the suction conduit 7 and, at the other side, the compression conduit 8 adjacent to a heat exchanger 2.
