677,559. Road-vehicle floors. WATSON, A. W., GODFREY, E. C., and GODFREY, L., (trading as WATSON & CO., A. W.). March 1, 1951 [March 2, 1950], No. 5241/50. Class 108(i) [Also in Group X] Extruded metal elements 1 for floors, e.g. for vehicles, are of shallow inverted channel section and are provided with cross flanges 14 having ribs 15 along one side and corresponding grooves 11 along the other side, the ribs 15 co-operating with the grooves 11 of adjacent elements when the latter are disposed side by side to form a floor. The lower flange 9 of each groove, which is extended to support a cross flange 14, may be secured, e.g. by screws, to a base support, ribs 3 and inverted T-shaped supports 10 being provided respectively on the upper and lower faces of elements.
