Class 107 A manhole cover constructed of interfitting sections has at least one section with a seating extending from the one or more edges to support an adjacent section or sections. The section 3 is supported by a projection 8 engaging a seating 7 on a section 2 and the other section 2 engages the seating 9 by a projection 10. The cover assembly is carried by a frame 1.
