Classes 75(i) and 75(iii) The gas ring 1 for heating the bowl of a domestic washing machine or boiler has connected thereto on the side opposite the tubular gas supply stem 2 a flash-back ignition duct 5 provided with means such as a flange 7 having holes for bolts 9 for attaching the duct to the casing of the boiler, the gas ring being supported from the casing solely by the duct and by the supply stem 2. The duct is secured by a screw 4 to a flange 3 on the ring with its axis aligned with a pilot gas jet 6 in the ring; the duct may be integral with the ring. A pryrophonic lighter 16 for igniting the gas may be mounted on the boiler casing at the entrance to the duct. Specifications 429,851 and 648,051 are referred to.
