675,220. Endless tracks for vehicles. INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER CO. OF GREAT BRITAIN, Ltd. (International Harvester Co.). Sept. 14, 1949, No. 23714/49. Class 79(i) In a track shoe structure for an endless track vehicle comprising a tread block retaining plate adapted for mounting on track links and provided at the front and rear edges with convergent tread block retaining flanges. adjustable means are provided adapted to co-operate with convergent faces of a dovetail slot in the underside of a tread block of deformable material in such manner that, when drawn towards the plate, the means exerts outward pressure of the material against the flanges. As shown a base plate 19 is welded to the tread block retaining plate 21 which has apertures 35 containing the heads of bolts 26 which threadedly engage the track links 11, 12. The base plate 19 is formed with a pair of bosses 24 adapted to fit into seats 18 of the links 11, 12. The plate 21 is formed with the flanges 32 which slidably receive the tread block 22, and through the slot 45 in the block is slid a clamping bar 36 having lateral projections. The clamping bar 36 has threaded holes to receive bolts 28 passing through the plates 19, 21 When the bolts 28 are tightened, the bar 36 is drawn downwardly in Fig. 3 urging the block into engagement with the flanges 32.
