Abstract
470,446. Guides for belts of drawing- mechanism for rovings. CASABLANCAS, F. Nov. 20, 1936, No. 31862. Convention date, Dec. 13, 1935. Addition to 309,905, [Class 120 (ii)]. [Class 120 (ii)] The U-shaped guides for the belts of drawing - mechanism for rovings described in the parent Specification, and the side plates of the supporting frame, are shaped so that the lower of the two branches 9, 10, which are of flat formation converging towards each other, is supported by the side plates at the front and rear portions of its lower face, and is engaged by a stop whereby forward tilting is prevented. As shown in Fig. 5, the side plates are formed with recesses 13 which support the front and rear bottom edges of the arm 9 and by the projection 16 engage the upper surface, projections 14 being provided, if desired, to engage the upper limb 10. As shown in Fig. 9, the projections 16 are arranged to prevent forward displacement. Recesses 11 in an inclined edge 12 of the guides are adapted to engage the side plates to prevent lateral displacement. The limbs may be provided with flanges 19, Fig. 6, so that the pressure of the belts is increased, the span of the limbs remaining the same.
