[Also in Group XI] In a lighting fitting an electric discharge lamp, an electric incandescent lamp and a choke are connected in series and a condenser is connected across both lamps to resonate with the choke at the supply frequency,. whereby an increased voltage for starting the discharge lamp is obtained.
