674,691. Pile-wire mechanism for looms. DEWAELE, C. June 6,1950 [June 18, 1949], No. 14048/50. Class 142(ii) The pile-wire slide is actuated by means comprising a stationary toothed wheel 17, an arm 11 swinging about the axis of the wheel 17, a second wheel 15 connected by an endless chain 18 meshing with the two wheels, and a lever 16 mounted on the shaft 14 carrying the wheel 15 and connected at its free end with the slide. The arm 11 is driven by a link 3 one end of which is connected to an eccentric pin 2 upon a rotating disc 1, the other end moving about a fixed spindle 6 and the link carrying a pin 9 which moves in a slot 13 in the arm 11. The link 3 may have a slot 7 to receive the spindle 6, or alternatively may be formed in two parts, one sliding telescopically upon the other.
