509,147. Endless - belt conveyers. VICARS, Ltd., T. & T., and NAYLOR, J. F. Jan. 11, 1938, No. 811. [Class 78 (i)] In conveyers for biscuits of the kind described in Specification 500,296, each endless band 1 is displaced at predetermined times relatively to its supporting rollers 2. 3 by the engagement of a chain sprocket 4, or friction wheel, therewith, which sprocket is rotatably mounted at the end of a pivoted arm 5 and is rotated and raised by cam mechanism 13, 16. A rack bar 9 movable in guides 10 is actuated by the cam 13 and drives a gear 8 which through a gear 7 rotates the shaft on which the sprocket 4 is mounted. The cam 16 reciprocates a rod 14 which is pivotally connected to the end of the arm 5.
