671,743. Cable couplings. WEBSTER, C. J., and ANSON, W. E. March 20, 1950, No. 6872/50. Class 38 (i). A cable connector comprises a slotted body 10 one end of which is bent into.a hook 11 terminating at the slot 13 and the other end has threaded therein a hollow bolt 15 carrying a clamping plate 20b provided with a lip 20a at the side near the slot, the clamping plate being anchored to the bolt by a drivescrew 19 so that on rotating the bolt the plate can be slid towards or away from the slot. In a modification, Fig. 3 (not shown), a locking washer is inserted between the plate and the bolt in order to absorb vibration. Specification 336,664, [Class 38 (i)], is referred to.
