Abstract

914,026. Clamps. EDIBRAC Ltd. Oct. 13, 1961 [Nov. 4, 1960], No. 37938/60. Class 44. [Also in Group XXX] A clamping device for securing conveyer units along a pair of wire cables comprises a metal plate 5 to the underside of which is welded a U-shaped member 8 so as to form a channel 9 for the cable. A tapered pin 15 is driven through a hole 14 in the plate so that the cable 10 is clamped between the pin and the member 8. The clamp is attached to a support cable by a hook 16. A further plate in which is journalled one end of a conveyer roller may be bolted to the flange 7 to provide a rolling surface for the lower run of the conveyer belt.
