943,259. Endless belt conveyers. GOODMAN MANUFACTURING CO. March 4, 1960 [March 5, 1959], No. 7679/60. Heading B8A. [Also in Division E2] A clamping device for attaching idler roller assemblies or spreader bars of an endless belt conveyer to a pair of longitudinal supporting cables extending along opposite sides of the conveyer course comprises a hanger portion 30, which is C-shaped in vertical cross-section, the upper limb being hooked over the cable 12 and being provided with a lug 40 for pivotal attachment to the associated idler roller assembly or spreader bar, and the lower limb being provided with a clamping bolt 46 which extends through an elongated slot 58 in a bracket portion 52. The upper limb of the bracket portion is accommodated in an elongated recess 64 in the upper limb of the hanger portion 30 and is provided with a concave surface, to engage the lower surface of the cable 12, and with an indentation 62 in which the pointed end 48 of the bolt engages.
